About Citizen Consumer Club (CCC), DGVC

Operating under the guiding motto “Aware, Alert, Act,” the Citizen Consumer Club of DG Vaishnav College has been actively shaping students into enlightened and vigilant members of society since its inception in August 2008 under the aegis of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The club is dedicated to fostering vital consumer rights education and instilling deep social responsibility among the youth.

Throughout the academic year, the club drives vibrant engagement by organizing flagship events such as the annual Consumer Fest, World Standards Day commemorations, and dedicated food safety awareness campaigns.

Furthermore, it extends its impact beyond the campus through community outreach initiatives including literacy programs, talent hunts, human chains, and blood donation drives, earning widespread recognition and multiple State-Level Best Club Awards from the Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection.
